The St. John's InfoNET is run on behalf of the St. John's InfoNET Association, Inc., overseen by a Board of Directors (the Board). In using the St. John's InfoNET, I understand and agree to the following:

  1. Use of the St. John's InfoNET facilities is a privilege that can be revoked by the Board if abused. Examples of abusive use include: putting illegal material on the system; pretending to be someone other than myself or allowing someone else to use my User Account; sending chain letters or abusive, harassing, or fraudulent material via e-mail; exploiting loopholes in the system to bypass user restrictions; using the system for commercial or monetary gain.
  2. If I store information where other people can see it, the Board may review it and remove it, if the Board deems the material to be illegal, obscene, or abusive.
  3. The information on the St. John's InfoNET is intended for private use and it must not use it for other purposes without prior permission.
  4. The information on the St. John's InfoNET is intended for general information and entertainment. The information is not intended to apply to me particularly or or in any particular situation.
  5. The St. John's InfoNET is run by volunteers and I cannot expect it to meet all of my needs. It may sometimes be unavailable and there may be problems with its operation or with the information on the system. I will not hold the Board responsible for any problems that I have as a result of using the system or from not being able to access the system.
  6. The information on the application form is accurate - pseudonyms or "handles" are not allowed.
  7. I realize that information on the St. John's InfoNET is provided as a community service by various individuals and organizations and that is it is not a substitute for individual professional consultation. Advice on individual problems should be obtained personally from an appropriately qualified professional.
  8. Accounts dormant for one full year may be deleted.

The St. John's InfoNET advises parents and guardians that material deemed objectionable by some people may be accessible through the St. John's InfoNET. Discretion in the choice of material accessed will be left to the adult user and guidance of a user under the age of 18 will be the responsibility of his or her parents or guardians.

I have read and understood the St. John's InfoNET User Agreement and I agree to abide by it.
