1. Phil will be here next month. After that we will have John Carter on Carl Popper. Phil will send an abstract of his talk on the Tagish fall. He might also need a white board and markers. Robert will do the Sky Next Month (note: the 2nd page of occultations in the Handbook is wrong). Randy will give a report on Astronomy Day. Note this will be a longer meeting. Fred won't be there so arrangements will have to be made for the keys.
2. Star-B-Que. Robert to check with Sharon Porter-Trask (?) with Parks. We need to set a date. Apparently, they have solar viewing glasses and a few scopes. Could we do more than one date? The Park wants approximately 600 words on what people could see in the sky for the summer.
3. Astronomy Day. Randy and Fred were at Chapters. It was somewhat slow. Next time we could have a backdrop/banner, or the model planets Chris has done up.
4. Fred has seen pictures of the armillary from 1972. Fred and Brian will talk with the MUN President.
5. There are 11 bookings for the planetarium for May. Garry has several shows worked out: one for kids, a light pollution show, and a Cassini show (they are 11, 17 min., etc.).
6. The GA is July 1. Fred is trying to get there. Fred put in a bid for the GA to coincide with the Venus thing.
7. The infonet will eventually be able to handle email lists.
8. On our membership sign-in at meetings we could ask for emails instead, or pass around a separate sheet, to see how many members are online.
9. Mike to upgrade the web site from N.S. this summer.
10. Robert reports the 12" is working with the new setting circles. It needs collimation, however, so he needs to set that up and wait for a day when its not raining.
