Meetings/Events - whether at our annual general meeting and conference or at events throughout the year, learn more about topics of current interest, what's happening in the library and information field, what new services are being offered throughout the province, etc.Ready to join? Library Week - join the celebration, to further the work done in libraries and to promote the benefits of libraries to their communities.
Workshops - participate in workshops which can help you learn new skills and keep up to date with the latest advances in the field. A few topics of late include searching the internet, evaluating internet resources, preservation and book repair . . .
Networking - meet with others who share your interest in and concern for libraries.
Lobbying - add your voice to the voice of others who are involved in promoting the interests of libraries. The NLLA has lobbied regarding GST on books, censorship, funding for libraries and library research, copyright . . . .
Library Directory - the Directory of Libraries in Newfoundland and Labrador is complimentary with your membership (sent to all members when updated). This directory is regularly updated and distributed by the Association.
