April, 2000

A by-election was called for the Federal Riding of St. John's West. The Terra Nova Greens/The Green Party of Canada in Newfoundland and Labrador attempted to field a candidate in the St. John's West Federal By-Election for Canada's Parliament. Dr. Joan Russow, Leader of the Green Party of Canada declined to endorse Terra Nova Green nominations. Dr. Joan Russow , herself, also declined to run for the election.The election was held on May 15, 2000.

May, 2000

The following resolutions were submitted by the Terra Nova Green Party to the Green Party of Canada Bi-annual Convention. The Green Party of Canada Bi-Annual convention was held from August 3 to 7, 2000, at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario.

Resolution in support of the Inshore Fishery.

Newfoundland and Labrador's shores to a distance of 350 miles in order to
protect the Grand Banks and Flemish Cap.
