The Newfoundland & labrador Green Party Association was an all volunteer organization that was recognized by the Green Party of Canada as an "Official Unit". However, it was never registered as a provincial party.

The mailing address of the Newfoundland & labrador Green Party Association was 14 Blache Avenue, St. John's Newfoundland. The Newfoundland & Labrador Green party Association held monthly meetings, it had  a bank account and a registered agent.

The Newfoundland & Labrador Green Party Association ran two candidates: a provincial candidate in the 1989 General Election and a candidate for St. John's City Council.

The Newfoundland & Labrador Green Party Association  fell into abeyance. When the Terra Nova Green Party was constituted, it did not acquire the Newfoundland & Labrador Green Party Association's bank account. The Terra Nova Greens do not possess any of the Newfoundland & Labrador Green Party Association's records or minutes. Nor has the Terra Novas Greens adopted the Newfoundland & Labrador Green Party Association's constitution.

Copies of the Newfoundland & Labrador Green Party Association's newsletters and its constitution are located at the British Columbia Green Party Office in Vancouver, B.C.
