| A drop pool style river with narrow rapids and tight, technical lines. A couple of nice ledges |
| and the last few rapids make this a fun river for intermediate and advanced paddlers. |

| | starting point of the 6.9 km run. A quad trail starts on the |
| | NW River road at the power lines (1.2 km from the railway | 99 | fpm |

| | shoreline of Eastern Salmon Pond. Shortly after crossing |
| | a short bridge Salmon Pond will be visible in the distance, | 134 | fpm |

| | will be arduous if there is no snow on the ground to drag |

| | An alternative put-in is right at the bridge on the old rail |
| | bed. When the Northwest River road crosses the old rail |
| | bed turn left and the bridge over Salmon Br. Is about 600 |
| | m down the road. Most of the best rapids are below this |
| | point anyways. A second alternative is to hike along the |
| | power lines and put-on where they cross the river (not |
| | enough rapids to really make this worth the effort. |
